Receiving your ticket
Receive the ticket you reserved
Receive your ticket at a JR West, JR Shikoku, JR Kyushu or JR Central station, or certain JR East Travel Service Centers.

* Depending on the Special Discounted Ticket, the stations at which tickets can be received may be limited. For more information, please visit the specific Special Discounted Ticket website.

Reserved seat ticket machines (such as “green” ticket vending machines or “green” ticketing machines) may be used between 4:30 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. (Japan Standard Time), and JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-madoguchi) may be used between 4:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. (Japan Standard Time).

Notes
- * Please make sure to receive your ticket before boarding the train. Boarding the train without first collecting your ticket will result in your having to purchase the necessary tickets again (at a non-discounted price).
- * For reservations that include basic fare tickets, you can receive your tickets at “green” ticket vending machines, “green” ticketing or reserved seat ticket machines inside the ticket gates only if you reserved a Shinkansen Limited Express ticket at the same time. For reservations that do not allow you to receive your ticket at ticket machines, etc., please use JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-madoguchi).
- * If paying by credit card, please store the credit receipt you are given when you receive your ticket carefully until your credit card statement arrives. It may be necessary for changing or refunding your ticket after receipt.
- * If you selected “Pay by credit card” when making your reservation, your fare was paid at the time you completed your reservation, so even if you have not received your ticket the fare will be charged in full.
- * If you selected “Pay at station”, but payment is not completed by the payment deadline, the reservation will be canceled automatically. (No handling fee will be applied.)
- *Please make sure to receive your ticket by the first day during its valid period. (Even if the first time you board the designated train is later than the day after the first day it is valid, you will not be able to receive your ticket from the following day onward.)

Receiving your ticket from a ticket machine

Regular tickets can be received from reserved seat ticket machines such as “green” ticket vending machines.
Tickets can be received from JR Central reserved seat ticket machines displaying the e5489 mark , “green” ticket vending machines or “green” ticket ticketing displaying the e5489 mark
, etc.
Special Discounted Tickets can be received at a “green” ticket vending machine displaying the passport mark in the ticket reception station.

Reserved seat ticket machines (such as “green” ticket vending machines or “green” ticketing machines) may be used between 4:30 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. (Japan Standard Time), and JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-madoguchi) may be used between 4:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. (Japan Standard Time).

- * Depending on the contents of your reservation, such as number of ticket cards to be sold and the type of ticket, you may not be able to receive your ticket from a ticket machine. In that case, please go to the ticket office.
How to use a green ticket vending machine to get a ticket you have reserved via JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION

- If payment was completed on credit
Insert the credit card you used when making reservations.- If paying at the station
Press “QR code or reservation number”and swipe the QR code you were issued when you made your reservation, or enter the reservation number. -
Enter the four-digit identification number issued when you made your reservation.

Confirm the conditions of use (passport, entry visa, etc.). -

Confirm that you accept the purpose for which your personal information will be used. -

Swipe the passport page with your photograph on it.
*A passport with an IC chip is required for this. If your passport does not have an IC chip,please go to the ticket office.

- If payment was completed on credit
Your ticket will be issued. Please take it from the machine.
- If paying at the station
Your ticket will be issued when you have paid in cash via the green ticket vending machine.
Please take your ticket from the machine.
*Payment at a “green” ticket vending machine can only be made in cash (Japanese yen).
