1. Arriving at Kansai International Airport
After arriving at the terminal and exiting the airport gates, head to Kansai-airport Station.
*Please remember that access to Kansai-airport Station and the time required may vary depending on the airline being used.

Upon exiting the Kansai International Airport arrival gate, head for Kansai-airport Station located in the airport terminal building.

Cross the bridge that connects the Kansai International Airport terminal building to Kansai-airport Station.

JR-WEST is marked in blue, and the Nankai Line is marked in red.

To meet the needs of all passengers, Kansai-airport Station includes a JR-WEST Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi), green ticket vending machines, and ticket vending machines.

If you need to use the internet, JR-WEST Free Wi-Fi is available at Kansai-airport Station.

To travel with even more benefits, you can obtain or purchase rail passes straight from JR-WEST ticket offices. You can also purchase basic fare tickets and limited express tickets.

Kansai-Airport Rapid Service or local service tickets can be easily purchased from ticket machines without having to line up in the ticket office.
Travelers can use ticket machines to search for specific stations before purchasing tickets.
*To use limited express services, a separate limited express fare is required.

Purchasing an ICOCA card
ICOCA cards are electronic cards that can be used for riding trains without purchasing a ticket by touching the card to the automated ticket gate. These cards can also be used for shopping purchases.
*Please note that credit cards cannot be used to purchase ICOCA cards.

Shinkansen / limited express tickets (including HARUKA)
Shinkansen or limited express train (including HARUKA) tickets can be easily purchased from ticket vending machines without having to line up in the ticket office.
* When purchasing a ticket with a credit card, note that your personal identification number (PIN) is required.

Digital Purchase
ICOCA card on Apple Pay
This is a service that allows you to use an ICOCA electronic card on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
If you add ICOCA to the Wallet app, your iPhone/Apple Watch will become an ICOCA card, and you can ride or shop with just a touch. It's simple and fast. What's more, the device's security features protect your ICOCA card.

QR tickets
A new ticketless service that allows passengers to use the automated ticket gates by using an issued QR code for boarding. Through this service you will be able to purchase discount tickets for train, bus rides and other tourist attractions directly on your smartphone.

Advance Purchase - Receiving / Exchanging Tickets
Receiving tickets reserved via JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION from ticket vending machines
Skip the ticket counter lines by receiving tickets directly from a ticket vending machine!
Reserved tickets can be received from ticket machines marked with the 5489 service logo at stations throughout West Japan!
*The stations where a reserved ticket can be received will vary according to the ticket type. Passengers receiving Special Discounted Tickets from a ticketing machine will need a passport with an IC chip.

Business hours: 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
* Customers who cannot present their exchange order for a rail pass due to loss, theft, or other reason will not be able to receive a rail pass.
3. Passing through the Gates and Heading for the Platform
Make your way through the gates and head for the platform.
Note that how to pass through the gates varies depending on the type of ticket being used.
Using a Rail Pass or
a basic fare ticket
(and limited express ticket)
Find the gates with a tickets slot and insert your ticket (or multiple tickets altogether).

Using ICOCA
Every gate at major stations is marked with the IC mark.
Just touch the card to the automated ticket gate!

Using ICOCA card on Apple Pay
Same as with the regular ICOCA card, you can use all gates that are marked with the IC mark. Moreover, once you set up your Express Card, you can touch the automated ticket gate without unlocking your phone.

Using QR tickets
QR readers are installed mainly at stations with basic automated ticket gates. Scan the code directly from your smartphone and enter the gates the same as by other methods.

Please be careful when walking with your suitcase.
4. Boarding the Train
Kansai-Airport Express HARUKA and Kansai-Airport Rapid Service offer convenient access from Kansai-airport Station to wherever you want to go!

"JR-WEST Free Wi-Fi" service is offered in HARUKA trains.
To use the service, you must obtain an access code beforehand from Kansai-airport Station or some other location that offers internet access.
