Using Wakayama as a model destination, the initiative combines seamless rail and air travel with unique local experiences. By making destinations that previously took considerable time to reach by rail alone more accessible, JR-West and JAL aim to showcase the appeal of these areas to travelers in Japan and overseas, attract more visitors to regional destinations, and boost tourism spending.
