Kansai-Nanki Area Pass
WEST QR
This pass is sold exclusively as part of a set with a JAL air ticket (Haneda–Nanki-Shirahama flight).
This pass allows for unlimited rides for 3 days on ordinary trains (including Special Rapid trains and Rapid trains) within the free travel section in the Kansai and Nanki area.
* The pass cannot be used on Limited Express trains including the HARUKA. To board the HARUKA and other Limited Express trains within the touring area, you will require a separate limited express ticket.
* The pass cannot be used on the Shinkansen. Separate basic fare and limited express tickets are required.
* A smartphone with an internet connection is required to use the WEST-QR ticket. If you do not have a smartphone, you can display the ticket on the smartphone of a companion.
* QR code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE Incorporated.

Note
- · Ticket prices and how tickets are reserved/received will change accordingly. We appreciate your understanding.
- - Adult: 12 or over 12 years old when an exchange order issued or a rail pass purchased
- - Child: 6-11 years old when an exchange order issued or a rail pass purchased
- * An Adult's or Child's rail pass holder can accompany up to 2 infants (1-5 years old) for free.
- * The infants from the third one will require Child's rail passes for each.
- * Babies aged under 1 year old can be accompanied for free.
- * Child's rail passes will be required for each infant in the following situations:
- 1. When accompanied infants use Reserved seats by themselves
- 2. When infants travel by themselves

Eligibility
- A rail pass user must be holding a passport issued by a foreign government.
※外国での永住権を持っているお客様を含め、日本国籍のお客様は使用できません。
- A rail pass user must be entering in Japan as a "短期滞在(Temporary Visitor) ".
* "短期滞在(Temporary Visitor) " is a status of residence defined under Japanese immigration law.
How to Buy & Use WEST QR Pass
Purchasing Exchange Order through a Travel Agency outside Japan
Purchase a WEST-QR ticket voucher from an overseas travel agency.
Access the WEST-QR usage website (listed on the voucher) and register the ticket information on the voucher. On the day you wish to start using the ticket, press the "Use ticket" button on the WEST-QR usage website after 4:00 a.m. to display the QR code for boarding the train.
Scan the boarding QR code at the ticket gate. *No need to exchange for a paper ticket.

※ A smartphone with an internet connection is required to use the WEST-QR ticket. A QR code in a screenshot or printed on a piece of paper cannot be used to board the train.
※ On local trains running south of Kii-Tanabe Station, a crew member will check your ticket when you board and when you get off. Please show your ticket screen.
※ This pass cannot be purchased via JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION.
Changes
- · Until you press the "Use ticket" button, you can use the ticket at any time within its usability period. Tickets for which the "Use ticket" button has been pressed and tickets whose usability period has passed cannot be changed.
- · The number of tickets and number of people cannot be changed. To do so, you will have to receive a refund and purchase the pass again. These operations cannot be performed at JR-West stations, so contact the travel agency where you made your purchase.
Refunds
- · For refunds before the "Use ticket" button has been pressed, contact the travel agency where you made your purchase. In this situation, there may be a refund fee as determined by the travel agency.
- · Refunds cannot be provided after the "Use ticket" button has been pressed.
- · After the pass has been activated, refunds will not be issued for service suspensions, delays, or related disruptions.
Availability and Use
- · WEST QR Pass is available and usable all year around.
- · WEST QR Pass is valid for 3 consecutive days.
- · WEST QR Pass will be valid at 4:00 from the start day to 24:00 on the last day (all times JST).
However, if the validity period expires while riding a train on the last day, the pass will be valid for the fare until the following day so long as the passenger does not exit the station, and for ticket fees so long as the passenger does not depart the train.
