ACCESS STEP

1. JR Kyoto Station

   Move to the Nara Line platform in JR Kyoto Station.
   Take any train leaving platforms 8, 9 or 10!
   

2. Boarding time:About 2 min.

   JR Tofukuji Station

   Get off at JR Tofukuji Station.
   Head for the Keihan Railway transfer gate at the back end of the platform, and get the train going to Demachiyanagi Station from Keihan Tofukuji Station.
   Before 7:00 am or after 7:00 pm, take the station exit at the front.

3. Keihan Tofukuji Station

   At the Keihan Tofukuji Station transfer gate ticket machines, buy a Keihan Railway ticket and enter the ticket gate.
   If you have an ICOCA or other IC card, just press it against the reader on the ticket gate!
   

4. Keihan Tofukuji Station

   Get the train from Platform 1 (bound for Sanjo and Demachi Yanagi).
   Go toward Keihan Gion-Shijo Station.
   Trains run roughly once every 10 minutes.

5. Boarding time:About 5 min.

   Keihan Gion-Shijo Station

   Get off at Keihan Gion-Shijo Station.
   Turn right after leaving the ticket gate.

6. 

   Climb the stairs from Exit 7 to get outside.

7. Shijo-dori Street

   Go upstairs to ground level and go left, and you’ll see the Nishi-romon west gate of Yasaka Shrine.
   Go straight ahead toward it.

8. On foot:About 5 min.

   Yasaka Shrine

   You’ve reached Yasaka Shrine!
