Railroad accidents can be prevented by learning about and following
the rules and procedures at crossings.
When using a railroad crossing, please follow the three rules below in particular:
When you are in the crossing, move out of the crossing quickly if you hear the bell.
Do not enter a crossing when the bell starts ringing.
Do not stop inside the crossing (red) areas when passing through it.
Entering the railroad track area without due cause may violate Japanese law (Railway Operation Act), thus making you liable for penalties.
