ACCESS STEP

  1. JR Kyoto StationJR Kyoto Station

    Move to the Sagano Line platform in JR Kyoto Station.
    Take any local service train leaving platforms 32 or 33!
    *Some trains depart from platform 31.
    *Warning: Rapid trains don’t stop at Uzumasa Station!

  2. Travel time: About 14 min.

    JR Uzumasa StationJR Uzumasa Station

    Get off at JR Uzumasa Station. Turn right after leaving the ticket gate, and make your way to Keifuku Randen Tram Satsueisho-mae Station.

  3. On foot: About 3 min.

    Head straight after exiting JR Uzumasa Station. Turn right and cross the railroad tracks.

  4. Keep walking straight down the hill and you will soon see Randen Satsueisho-mae Station.

  5. Randen Satsueisho-mae StationRanden Satsueisho-mae Station

    Take a tram bound for Kitano-Hakubaicho Station. Visit the following website for more information on riding the Randen tramway.
    Trams run roughly once every 10 minutes.
    Feel free to use an ICOCA or other IC card.

  6. Travel time: About 6 min.

    Get off at Omuro-Ninnaji Station, and head straight from the ticket gate. You will soon see the Niomon gate of Ninna-ji Temple.
    Keep going to reach the temple.
