ACCESS STEP

1. JR Kyoto Station

   Move to the Nara Line platform in JR Kyoto Station.
   Take any train leaving platforms 8, 9 or 10!

2. Boarding time：About 2 min.

   JR Tofukuji Station

   Get off at JR Tofukuji Station. Head for the Keihan Railway transfer gate at the back end of the platform, and get the train going to Demachiyanagi Station from Keihan Tofukuji Station.
   Before 7:00 am or after 7:00 pm, take the station exit at the front.

3. Keihan Tofukuji Station

   At the Keihan Tofukuji Station transfer gate ticket machines, buy a Keihan Railway ticket and enter the ticket gate.
   If you have an ICOCA or other IC card, just press it against the reader on the ticket gate.

4. Keihan Tofukuji Station

   Get the train from Platform 1 (bound for Sanjo and Demachi Yanagi).
   Go toward Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station.
   Trains run roughly once every 10 minutes.

5. Boarding time : About 3 min.

   Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station

   Arriving at Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, exit the ticket gate and head for Exit 4.

6. Gojo-dori Street

   After climbing the stairs, take Gojo-dori Street as far as Higashioji-dori Street.

7. On foot：About 10 min.

   Gojo-zaka

   Cross Gojo-zaka Intersection and go up the hill.
   The path to Kiyomizu Temple is lined with a great many fashionable souvenir shops.

8. On foot：About 10 min.

   Kiyomizu Temple
