ACCESS STEP

1. JR Kyoto Station

   Move to the Sagano Line platform in JR Kyoto Station.
   Take any train leaving platforms 32 or 33!
   *Some trains depart from platform 31.

2. Boarding time : About 7–11 min.

   JR Emmachi Station

   Get off at Emmachi Station. Turn left after leaving the ticket gate, and go toward Nishinokyo Emmachi bus stop.
   Leave through the ticket gate and you’ll immediately see an information board to Nishinokyo Emmachi bus stop.
   Look out for the bus stop marked with the letter “E”.

3. Nishinokyo Emmachi bus stop

   Take the Kyoto City Bus route 204 or 205 bound for Kinkakuji-michi bus stop.

4. Boarding time : About 9 min.

   Kinkakuji-michi bus stop

   Get off at Kinkakuji-michi bus stop.
   When you get off, head back in the opposite direction from the bus, and turn right at the traffic lights.

5. 

   Going straight ahead, you should see the sign for Kinkakuji Temple.
   Cross the street at the light and head through the entrance.

6. Kinkaku-ji Temple

   You’ve reached Kinkaku-ji Temple!
