Fukui Prefecture's Katsuyama City is nationally renowned as a treasure trove of dinosaur fossils. The museum, one of the world's largest, is housed in a vast column-free space and showcases an extensive collection of dinosaur skeletons, fossils, specimens, dioramas, and reconstructed models. Visitors can experience the awe-inspiring presence of dinosaurs up close, making it an enjoyable experience for both adults and children.
"Katsuyama Dino Park," a new amusement facility that opened in Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest in 2015. With a total area of 1.7 hectares, it features a 460-meter walk-through adventure attraction where visitors can encounter 44 life-sized, moving, and roaring dinosaur robots.
