    Todai-ji Temple World Heritage

    Todai-ji Temple's Great Buddha Hall (the temple's main hall) remains today's one of the largest wooden structures in the world. The Great Buddha statue housed within is the world's largest bronze Buddha. Todai-ji Temple is listed as a World Heritage Site.

    A World Heritage Site, Kasuga Taisha Grand Shrine is said to include all of Mt. Kasuga in its grounds. The shrine's brilliant red paint shines majestically from among the green trees of the mountain.
