How to use JR-West
My plans have changed so I'd like to change an unused/used ticket. Where can I change it? Does this involve a fee?
If you have not used your ticket, you may change it one time only for another ticket of the same type at no charge at a JR-WEST Ticket Office. Procedures vary for used tickets and discount tickets, so ask a station staff for details.
Can I change a ticket again after I've already changed it? If I can't, what should I do?
Changing a ticket for the second time involves receiving a refund and then purchasing your ticket again. In this case, the refund requires a handling fee.
If the train on which I've reserved a seat is canceled, can I change to a different train?
Yes. Take your ticket to a staff member at a ticket office and they will change it for you.
